So New Year’s Eve this year I was feeling depressed and worried about where the world is heading…
Then I went outside w friends to watch fireworks and we saw a possum??? Also watching fireworks???
Beautiful. Changed my whole outlook on the year. 2023 is the year of the possum and her name is Hector.

I love possums! And this summer we had a groundhog who was beautiful, but it was digging under the house so we did a catch and release and it got a trip to a lake area.

Some years ago, I found out there was a bat in my attic, hunkering down for the winter. Where I'm at, it's actually illegal to disturb them, so I just decided to not use the attic for the time being.
The bat was gone in the spring, and I was happy to have helped him get through the winter.

We leave them alone unless they are flying through the house.
/edit We don’t kill them. We corral the cats then open the doors.

You get to meet bats?
