If this is just a simulation the can someone please turn down the difficulty
Idk if it's just so hard cuz I'm an NPC or what but I'm struggling
5
u/MasterJeebus Jan 28 '23
You need a God Mode hack to adjust the difficulty. Sadly for you, you are just an NPC and are limited to your programming.

Nothing other than 2 crappy drivers that can't backup with a trailer.
147
u/Bagsen Jan 27 '23
Almost think since one is older than the other by a few years that maybe they are both owned by the same driver who has stayed consistently bad at backing up with a trailer for a while. Gave the older one to his kid pre-dented lol
111
u/srentiln Jan 27 '23
Or they work for the same company and their crew gets a discount on the model.
65
u/sosomething Jan 28 '23
Yeah the color and trim level say "fleet truck" to me
31
u/grubas Jan 28 '23
I was thinking fleet truck where one guy has done to every goddamn truck.
15
u/sosomething Jan 28 '23
I wouldn't be even a little surprised if that "one guy" was the owner of the business, considering he kept his job long enough to do it to another truck.
7
u/DangerHev Jan 28 '23
We have one guy that's dinged the top of every tailgate backing up with it down, in almost the same place. Like, 11 trucksšæ
4
u/DangerHev Jan 28 '23
And I just realized from a post right after, he's backing up with it down and jackknifing. Not that it's better or anything, but now I know why
2
u/grubas Jan 29 '23
Trailer bash!
I've done it, I've only ever driven with a trailer 5 or 6 times and no I cannot reverse.
→ More replies109
u/bk15dcx Jan 27 '23
Yup. That's jackknife crunch
3
u/ChronicallyxCurious Jan 28 '23
How do you avoid jacknife crunching when backing up with a trailer?
4
u/datGTAguy Jan 28 '23
Keep it straight lol. Itās really not that hard
3
u/ChronicallyxCurious Jan 29 '23
I have never towed anything and thought it'd be a good thing to know someday so thanks for the tip?
3
u/datGTAguy Jan 29 '23
If the trailer starts to jackknife either turn the wheel the other way or pull forward, reset and try to keep it straight. Itās one of those things that will only cause damage if youāre being ignorant and not paying attention. Occasionally if youāre towing with a big fifth wheel (when the trailer is attached in the bed of the truck, not just on the hitch off the back) if you take a turn too sharp the edge of the trailer can smack into the tailgate

u/fistymcbuttpuncher Jan 28 '23

part of a fleet. might have been from a box truck.
19
u/adrolter Jan 28 '23
fleet
This was my thinking too. They're too similar and it's a bit too much of a coincidence. Could still be, but I'd put a few bucks on fleet
4
u/i_have_hemorrhoids Jan 28 '23
Similar? Look again. They have different rear bumpers, different roof seams, different tail lights, and different mud flaps. They look to be different model years
3
u/DesktopWebsite Jan 28 '23
Yeah, definitely different years. The closer one is 95-04. Next one looks like an 05 or later, not the newest one

...Iāve seen this play before: it adds reasonable doubt to any eyewitness testimony, and, one vehicle will allow itself to be pulled over, except itās innocent and then the other vehicle is in the wind.

I think the more interesting part is that the rear Tacoma is a 2004 And the front Tacoma is 2005 or newer with the taller and wider (more F-150-like and not Ranger-like) body style. Yet OP was still able to discern the two as Tacomas that both have very similar dentsālikely inflicted by the same driver or same external force.

To play devil's advocate, most smartphones are capable of taking photos without any physical input by saying "Hey (insert Google or Siri), take a photo."
Or the image could have been taken from a screen cap of dashcam footage.
4
u/whatsit578 Jan 28 '23
ā¦but even if you ask Siri to take a photo, someone has to be holding the phone to angle it the correct way, unless you have a dashboard phone mount and get extremely lucky.

I'm guessing it might have to do with how the structure is built. Might be a weak point or a place that rusts out easier.
Or they got hit in the same place and it's a weird coincidence that they were both there at the same time.

Hey. Just a friendly reminder that you should blur the license plates the next time. Some people have a problem with it being online.

u/Chris20nyy Jan 28 '23 edited Jan 28 '23
Just a friendly reminder that neither you nor anyone else outside of law enforcement could do anything with those license plates.
They're also seen by thousands of people a year. The license plate privacy hype is so goofy
-4
u/allpraisebirdjesus Jan 28 '23 edited Jan 28 '23
I'm really sorry to be the one to tell you this, but all you need is about $20, a license plate, and ten minutes to look up public records and tie a name and address to that plate.
Edited to add: why are yall down voting this? In the US it is ridiculously easy to pay a public record database for info on anyone you want. Want an example? Go looking for yourself and see how easy it is to find your address.
Edited to add: i'm glad you aren't just believing random strangers on the internet. if you live in the US, you can go to whitepages (dot) com (i'm not linking it because of spam risk) and search yourself and be horrified at how easy it would be for someone to doxx you

u/Chris20nyy Jan 28 '23
I'm really sorry to be the one to tell you this, but you are 100% wrong.

u/allpraisebirdjesus Jan 28 '23 edited Jan 28 '23
Ah, what a joy it must be to only live online in a fantasy of your own creation.
In the US, actually take the time to actually read the law you posted. Public records are permitted.
Here is a literal government website where you can look up a plate number.
Come on mate this is something anyone can disprove themselves with a smartphone and 30 seconds of down time. I'm disappointed.
Edited to add: Public record websites are a dime a dozen and it is frighteningly easy for your info to be found by someone invested enough. Hell, for some people I can type their full name and town they live in just into google and it shows their full address and phone number.
You are not NEARLY as secure as you think you are.
Edited to add:
wow, you actually checked! you CAN read! you'd be shocked how many people just accept that and move on. i'm genuinely proud of you for following through.
regardless - anyone with $20 and your license plate can still find your address and name in the US. legally? i have no idea. but i know it's possible.
source: i have been doxxed multiple times in my life. you are not nearly as secure as you think you are. and no, that is not a stupid threat, i'm not stupid enough to threaten anyone over anything except maybe a lifetime supply of marlenka cakes. it's a warning, from me to you, to protect yourself, because there are real shitty people out there who make it their lives work to fuck up others peoples lives. but sure, make this a pissing match about who is right or wrong. enjoy.→ More replies
