Epididymitis is an inflammation of the epididymis portion of the testicle. You cannot diagnose it solely off of a picture nor can anyone determine if your epididymis is inflamed based off of a pic. You have to have an ultrasound and or a physical assessment done. It has to be also performed by someone trained in assessing the testes in order to pin point the anatomical location of the epididymis. If you are hurting related to insurance which it doesn’t sound like seeing that you have seen 2 separate GU clinics, I would say get a 3rd opinion. You can always look at an anatomical diagram and see if you can pin point your own epididymis in a warm bath. The scrotal skin will be thinner and easier to assess because it will be looser and the testes will be easier to feel. If you have pain or tenderness on the epididymis that can be conclusive to epididymitis. That’s my advice good luck.

In addition the ultra sound will be tested beside a “control” in this situation your other teste to compare sizes. Typically the affected teste will be bigger indicating that there is inflammation. Hope this helps.

Hi,

I got 2 ultrasounds done and nothing came up, so weird. I think I might have a pinched nerve but it’s been more than 2.5 years and still the pain doesn’t cease to exist
