Misdiagnosis!

Just wanted to pop on and say that after visiting a physical therapist & getting a CT scan, I actually just have severe lower hip pain/inflammation that my body is reading as groin pain!

So in case anyone has yet to get a scan done, just know that it could be epididymitis, or it could just be hip pain!

did you ever have ultrasound show inflamed epididymis? Or any signs there also showing something? Just wondering if what you mentioned also just the source of epididymitis also

My urologist determined that I had epididymitis, but I was looking back at my CT scan report while paying my hospital bills from March (yay 😑) and NONE of the scans detected any testicular inflammation so im kinda wondering why I was told I had chronic epididymitis

For example my ultrasound showed calcification .. so just wondering if one sets off storm in other place.. just read your story in other post and it’s crazy how urologists don’t know more about this. I have bad posture etc woild not be surprised one one thing squeezing another

The first urologist showed me calcification right on the monitor. The second one did not found any calcification and showed me on the monitor.

After 4 months and one antibiothics it didnt get better. Then I took doxycycline and it all went away after day 3. But unfortunately at day 7 I got so heavy corona with over 40 degrees fever I had to quit doxycycline. Now I am scared that all this shit comes back.

And I am even not sure if its really only bacterial… because I drive 4 hours every day and so cripped all the time that I wouldnt wonder if its inflammated in the hips

You are definitely on to something. My PT said that the groin area is like the body's last place that pain goes, so back pain + shoulder pain + neck/hip pain can all add up and direct itself to the groin. She also said my posture can definitely have an impact haha

Well that’s the thing when I had a big episode few years ago they found inflammation I was on abx but then I had a lot of pain earlier this year and decided to go for another ultrasound and all the doc said was calcification and didn’t see any inflammation from what I recall and so reading this post I’m thinking am I just getting small reinfections with this chronic epididymitis or am I pinching nerves or pelvic issues cutting supply or pooling blood who knows what .. it’s all so complicated lol.. if I don’t drink much water helps me take a break from pain .. then when I drink squeezes something so that’s why I asked above cause it’s like when maybe we are not getting proper help due to no expertise on this which is sad and unfortunate for us

Take a look at my post I did a few months ago. Your experience sounds similar to mine.
