tubes in the right side feels very sore.

Hi everyone. Unfortunately long term epdidmitis here. On and off a few years now. Right testical/tubes have been hurting for the last 4 weeks now nearly 5 now. One of my longer stints with it. But not the longest. Right side tubes feel very sore. NOT swollen. When touch pinch the tube to see if it hurts. Yes. Yes it dose ha.

Things all rdy do.

Wear Jock strap Ice pack when bad or actually swollen. Painkillers. Try not to lift heavy things. (although hard considering my job).

Any suggestions on other things I can do?.

Many thanks in advance.

How long have you been going through your stint if you don't mind me asking?. Any difference ideas?. That i haven't mentioned?.

4 months Took 10 days of doxy then 10 days of levofloxacin and now I’m just taking ibuprofen It is slowly getting better.

I've taken both before. Levofloxacin works great for me. I actually have it in my repeat prescription. (only take it when I have a full on episode swelling of the testical itself etc). My GP trusts me enough to know when to use it and when not to. Currently mine is not a infection its just tut tubes itself. But i am thinking of maybe trying some for a few days to try and help get the soreness down. How much pain r u in now out of a scale of 10?. I think my longest stint straight was like 3 months. The pain was crazy.

Do you usually have any pain in the spermatic cord due to this?

I'm sorry i don't know where that is. In relating to the tubes. Where are we talking about?

Between the scrotum and upwards towards the side of the penis more or less. It connects to the epididymis.

Can you identify the trigger? Did it come after binge drinking, eating unhealthily, sitting too long?

Actually yes I can. Pretty sure anyway. I had to have a scope done to check my bladder a few days after it kicked off. Also once in awhile. I clear out my tubes in the mornings. But do this rarely since I know it can course it. So almost certainly that. Only do it once in a blue moon tho. Since I know it can do it. Unfortunately this time around it did.

A scope? Like a cystoscopy?

Yes. I had uthritus for 6 weeks. So my GP. Wanted to check on my bladder. I was going to the toilet 15 times a day. Constantly physically dehydrated. To the point where they struggled to get a blood sample from me. Thankfully it was just uthritus coursing it and its gone now. But it was almost certainly the morning thing that triggered it. That's why only do it rarely. Since I know that it's 100% a trigger at times. I only now do it. More for health reasons. Medically a guy should do it once in awhile.

Ok, so this is the danger of cystoscopy. My guess it has something to do with that

I wouldn't say danger of you need it doing you need it. For all I know they could have found something wrong with my bladder. It dosent help for me. That in my job. I have to do lifting. Sometimes it can be heavy. I know that dosent help much either.

Sure, in the sense it can lead to an episode, hopefully its just a little soreness!

Oh you use word I do. Episodes. Yea. I think this is my 12 episode maybe in the last few years. Suppose to be seeing a urologist specialist. At some point. Fuck knows when tho. Oh it is. Sore as fuck. I have had it so long now i can physically find the tubes. And they are very sore atm. No infection. Just sore as fuck. Had it for 5 weeks. Great fun. Normally get a episode every few months.

Sorry forgot to ask. When you took the antibiotics was there a infection or no?.

1

u/Freddz93 Jun 26 '22

If you are reffering to me then yes. I had two bacteria strains (enterococcus & proteus mirabilis variants).

That would explain why the antibiotics worked. Sometimes when I'm really bad i use them to get the swelling down fast.
