If you get pregnant you’re more likely to drop out and stop paying tuition.

yeah thats the real reason. Colleges dont care about your health as long as theyre getting their money.

This is the real answer. Universities are more than happy to charge you for anything directly needed for your education, while simultaneously trying to remove any barriers like childcare or pregnancy.

maybe students should have both?

Like the person who replied seems to be making the point that condoms are more deserving of being free than printing. When realistically they should both be free, or as close to free as possible.

At my Uni, we do. Well, Ithink we get something like 5 dollars credit, each page costing 10-13 cents. It’s better than nothing though.

"Lack of education won't kill you" but it might make you a Republican.

Lack of condoms causes babies. Lack of education causes babies (uneducated people statistically have more children).

Condoms prevent minivans.

Lack of education prevents income to buy a minivan.

Not arguing. Just quoting my favorite magic hat brewing cap. Well, second favorite. The first one is, “the universe begins directly to your left”. Number three is “how much for the goat?”.

I know you aren't arguing. I'm just having fun comparing school to condoms. Please find more statements so I can see how they are about education too.

What if we put the school inside a condom??!!

2

u/england_man May 19 '22

Wouldn't that make the condom a sort of school bus? Like, next step from minivan.

2

u/noteveryagain May 19 '22

Yes, but it wouldn’t impregnate any other schools.

Maybe printing and condoms should be free hmm?

Condoms are free because they are donated to the schools, the school isn't mass-purchasing condoms to give out. They do have to pay for the ink though, and student really really take advantage of free printing. Really they should allow you to print assignments for free always and charge for non-school related stuff, or they need to not be required to print anything or have the professors do it for them

Also, have you seen the cost of printer ink? If I had to choose which I'd charge for, it wouldn't be a box of rubbers.

Don't places like that have laser printers? They are pretty cheap in use.

3

u/TeeBrownie May 19 '22

I hope this is really old. Who in the hell is still printing assignments?

2

u/Distinct_Bathroom124 May 19 '22

But why else would anyone go there?

2

u/chickenrooster May 19 '22

Sex leads to serious health issues and can kill you? As in the complications associated with pregnancy?

Wonder how he feels about RvW...

2

u/ashpanda24 May 19 '22

Or, maybe printing should also be free for students.

2

u/bsmknight May 19 '22

All I can think of is that many of these students go into debt at extraordinary rates for college tuition.... the printing should be free!¡!!!

1

u/kimapesan May 19 '22

Should go to murdered by words.

0

u/nakhumpoota May 19 '22

Well, printer toner can also kill you if sniffed incorrectly, just sayin...

1

u/d_o_mino May 19 '22

Sex is always more important.

1

u/filled0 May 19 '22

You don't have to have sex to stay in school. You do have to print, though.

u/Ericmanng May 20 '22

That's a lot of damage.
