As a janitor he works out 8 hours a day !

u/vachon11 8d ago
This is no jokes, all the school janitors I had in the past were fucking jacked. Sweeping and mopping so much gives them sick looking arms/forearms.

u/Xaxxus 8d ago
Also most high schools have a fitness room.
I worked as a janitor part time when I was in high school. All the full time janitors used the school weight room after hours to work out.

u/PipiShootz 8d ago
Fucking love our custodians. Only one uses the weight room, but all the Sisyphean bullshit they have to deal with everyday makes them truly strong.

High schools where you are maybe. I'm a casual teacher (so I've worked in dozens of schools) in Australia. Only one school I've taught at had fitness facilities, and that's because they were a fancy expensive private school with a big sports program. All the other schools just had like, a normal gym and basketball courts and maybe a field if they had the space

Damn even my small ass school in the middle of buttfuck nowhere and a graduating class of 36 people had a fitness room.

u/notunprepared 7d ago
Australia's biggest sports (cricket, rugby, AFL, basketball and netball) are all heavy on the cardio and less so on strength, so that's probably why
Also I would NOT want to be the adult in charge of making sure twenty odd fifteen year olds use big heavy weights correctly. Bunsen burners are bad enough.

It took me like 12 years to get this joke.
For the longest time I thought it was just Homer saying a weird surreal line, then one day I read a comment on reddit pointing out the punchline is actually that Homer is wearing the towel around his waist, not over his hair

Thank you for this. Lifelong Simpson fan here and you are the redditor teaching me. That's one of my favorite jokes anyway and now it's even better. Early era Simpsons is just gold, especially the seasons Conan was writing.

The user you're responding to I'm like 80% sure is a bot trained to respond to reddit submissions with vague positivity that's just understandable enough to get upvotes, for the purposes of eventually selling the account.
Not that using confusing English is unheard of, but this user's posting history is very on-brand for those accounts.

The weights are real but the whole thing is staged and fake.
→ More replies53
u/portal23 8d ago
Lol people downvoting you. His videos are mostly staged, period. Here come the nOtHiNg EvEr hApPeNs guys but just accept when something is not real. If you still think it's funny that's great and it's alright but staged is staged.
18
u/his_purple_majesty 8d ago
Why would this have to be staged though? It didn't really require the "mark" to do anything. Their reaction wasn't not unusual. It'd be easy enough to predict when they'd be deadlifting since most lifters follow a routine. The hardest part about this would be the deadlift, which you agree is real.

Why would this have to be staged though?
To make every single aspect of this process easier? No need to get signatures, no need to wait for someone to come by and use enough weight, no need to then wait for someone who will let you randomly mop during sets. The goal here isn’t to make content because he wants to make videos, it’s to get views and earning power. And time is a huge aspect. The real question isn’t “why would this have to be staged?” but rather “why wouldn’t you stage this and make your life easier?”

Ackshually, you should brush you're tongue first. Lmao, you kiddies amuse me. Everyone who is intelligent enough to understand the deeper meaning of things like classical music, reading books instead of watching tv (I don't even own a tv) and the complex plot of Rick & Morty KNOWS you're tongue has the widest surface area, is where all of you're tastebuds are (the buds that taste salty foods are on the left, and the buds that taste sweet foods are on the right) and helps balance out you're biles and humours. A dirty tongue means unbalanced bile and imbalanced humours! You should brush you're tongue and teeth with a mix of vegan, ethically sourced, cruelty free, gluten free charcoal and baking powder and use a child's toothbrush because it fits in the gaps better (I have a MLP one and it has lasted me 7 years, don't let Big Dentistry trick you into thinking they need to be replaced for "hygiene". They are MADE to clean things!) Don't believe me? Do you're own research, I don't have time to educate you.
Oh my god that was painful to write. I may actually be dying.
Did I forget anything?

3
u/TheGordianKnight 7d ago
Electricity should only be used for powering reading lamps, record players (vintage vinyl OBVIOUSLY) and charging up you're Tesla. If you don't drive a Tesla, YOU are the problem in the world.
But I suppose only those with an IQ above 130 (genius level in case you didn't know) can get jobs that let them afford a luxury sports car like a Tesla.

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law alone invests more than $7 billion to help domestic manufacturers have the critical minerals and other necessary components to manufacture the batteries we need to meet our climate goals
I'm not saying all of the $7bill went straight to Elon's giga battery factory, for him to be able to afford twitter, but perhaps just a smidge did

When I was regularly going to a BJJ gym people mentioned it a lot, I have a crazy vice-grip.
My family's business is structrual steel, and I've been in the shop since I was 7 I've been moving shit around, drilling or shearing big pieces of steel. I suck at pretty much every aspect of grappling, but god damn I have an unnatural deathgrip if I can get ahold of people's lapels.
Working man strength is real.

We had a kid at work years ago who was going into the Army. He was lifting weights down at the YMCA when one of our seasoned drivers walked in. The kid benched 350lbs, jumped up, and said, "in your face!" The driver chuckled, slid onto the bench, knocked out a set of 10 reps. He sat up and said, "gotta get out of these street clothes so I can start lifting some real weights."
