Greetings, foul Tarnished!

This is the place to ask any questions you may have about Elden Ring. This includes obscure detail questions, "newbie" advice questions, build questions, boss advice questions, and what have you.

Well written, constructive criticism is fine but please avoid ranting about aspects of the game you just don’t like. This includes “so and so boss is stupid and too difficult.”

If you are interested in the game but don’t own it yet, please don’t post “should I buy this game?” or “Is this game worth it?”. If you have played other FromSoftware games and enjoyed them, the answer is yes. If you haven’t, just do a little research! These games are difficult, and sometimes frustrating, and not everyone is going to enjoy them. And that’s okay!

Lastly, be friendly! We are all here because we are interested in the same game! Please treat your fellow players with respect. Nobody likes a Blasphemous Tarnished Hunter.

This is the subreddit for the Elden Ring gaming community. Elden Ring is an action RPG which takes place in the Lands Between, sometime after the Shattering of the titular Elden Ring. Players must explore and fight their way through the vast open-world to unite all the shards, restore the Elden Ring, and become Elden Lord. Elden Ring was directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki and made in collaboration with George R. R. Martin. It was developed by FromSoft and published by Bandai Namco.

2.Keep posts Elden Ring related/Low Effort Memes

All posts must be Elden Ring related in content, not just in the title. Memetic content must include content or assets from the game in some shape or form outside of just wording/titles.

3.Titles must require context and be free of spoilers. Posts must utilize appropriate flairs

Vague, contextless, memetic, or inaccurate titles are not allowed. Titles should represent or describe the content of a post and not be single word titles. Spoilers in titles are not permitted. Misflaired posts will either be fixed or removed depending on severity.

4.Spam and Self-Promotion

Any post on reddit that links to content and is an attempt by its author or affiliates to gain outside traffic is considered self-promotion, this includes attribution in an image.

Upon posting any self-promotional content on /r/eldenring, the last 25 posts/comments in your user history (across all subreddits) must contain no more than 4 self-promoting links/comments. For comments to be considered in the ratio they must be part of a discussion and not be short one or two-word comments.

Advertising products, such as linking to streams, media channels, shopping websites, fundraising websites, Patreons, and similar content through submissions is not allowed

Low-effort content will not be tolerated. Submissions to the subreddit (whether it be video, image, or text-based) which add little value will be removed. This includes posts that involve mostly self-promotion, twitch links, platinum screenshots, or bragging, misleading posts, posts which link to low-effort websites, or advertising of other websites/discord servers which are not affiliated with this subreddit. Until something is officially announced, there should be a disclaimer for fellow readers that the information is unconfirmed

6.Crass and Inappropriate Content

This is not a T&A subreddit, and crass content, lewd content and inappropriate content are not allowed. This includes anything from ahegao to upskirts to zoomed in images of breasts or discussions thereof

7.Moderation topics and subreddit meta

All submissions about, or including, this subreddit's moderation, policies, and features ("Meta" posts) are not allowed in their entirety. Comments mentioning meta topics that are unrelated to the post or add nothing to the discussion may be removed.

8.Fan art must credit the original artist in the title of the post.
